May 9 Team Leaders Agenda
1. Mother's Day cakes this Friday (May 11)-Jackie Budd is in charge since she has helped in the past, schedule
has been sent out; Julie will send out list of kids; when the volunteer comes to get your students they will have a list of the kids that have paid for cakes
2. Splash Bash-Karen passed out rotation schedules; she encourages everyone to synchronize their watches in the morning; whistle is dry rotations and horn is the wet stations; bring map when you go outside so everyone knows where they should be; cut apart the rotation schedule and distribute to each member of your team; you may want to write where and when your rotation is on your map; 2nd grade is the only grade with a seventh dry station which will be pop sicles for each second grader; explanation of traffic patterns; lunch in your classroom that day and need to plan with your team times for lunch; consider having everyone dance as they finish their snack so students get the chance to dance; fifth grade goes in at 3:00 and older kids can use the slide but we must have an adult with every 3 students; one slide will stay up until 4:00; we have
enough volunteers but if someone really wants to come encourage them to come at 11:00. Limited supply of underwear so please encourage students to be sure they have dry underwear before getting changed; reverse permission slip needs to go home, and if you get one back please call the parent to be sure they do not want their child to participate. We'll get the permission slip printed and will send home on Friday to give parents time to purchase anything they might need. PLEASE put a plug in for PTA as they pay for everything to do with Splash Bash.
3. Summer trainings/planning-2 days per team, and on curriculum planning and set up day for people moving
4. End of year staff luncheon-Wednesday, May 23 at 1:00; celebrating the retirement for Pauletta, Sonny & Babs; chicken, baked, beans, potato salad, rolls & tea; salads from Heidis will be hosted by the TAs; need paper products; envelopes will be with Lynn for donations toward retiree gifts
5. May 24th at Cornerstone Baptist Church 3:00-4:00- all retirees throughout the county will be on hand to bid them farewel and Mrs. Himmel will give the retirees their plaques at 3:30
6. April's shower-May 24th, 8:00 AM,, Does anyone have an old suitcase that we can fill with fun traveling things?Refreshements: donuts, punch and juice will be served
7. Skyward training on May 29?-overview is optional since it is a workday;
8. Inventory-Julie is working on this and will get the list out to you this week; let her know when you are ready to be inventoried
9. Walk-a-thon funds-instructional technology will be what we spends the funds; what would your team suggest we buy? Mimeos, clickers, etc....
